Honoring the Life of Frank Davis

Frank Davis, who, along with his wife Kay, were the early financial backers of Read-Aloud, passed away earlier this month at the age of 100. Our hearts go out to his family.

Frank’s contributions to society were numerous. As the inventor of pegylation, he changed the world of science and medicine; the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna are encapsulated in lipid shells stabilized by pegylated lipids.
