Tentative Agreement Reached
The WCCUSD and it’s teacher’s union, United Teachers of Richmond, have reached a tentative agreement regarding COVID-19 safety protocols and situations, preventing a strike. Union membership voted on the this agreement last week.
Highlights of the agreement include:
N95, KN95 or K94 masks provided daily for all students and staff
Weekly testing at all school sites for the rest of the school year
Twice weekly testing for for two weeks for all classes with one COVID positive case
Baseline testing after February Break & Spring Break
Increase in sub pay
Increase in period subbing rate & pay rate for elementary educators volunteering to sub additional students
